Wildfires Are Ablaze! Gas Fire Pits Are A Safer Alternative

landscaping idea
If you havent been living under a rock, you are probably well aware that much of the mid, southwest and west are on fire. With record high temperatures and no rain in sight, wildfires are running rampant and destroying homes and our beautiful western landscape at a record pace.

Although wildfires are normal and part of natures great plan, these overwhelming 100 degree plus days arent helping the natural course of burns. Fire fighters are flocking in from around the country to assist in the containment, yet these fires continue to sprout up and high winds help them spread at a rapid pace.

With fire bans pretty much blanketing the western half of the U.S., campfires are out, wood burning fire pits are out, and it doesnt look like these fire bans will be lifted anytime soon.

So what if you are a homeowner or business who has a wood burning fire pit for entertainment? You are s.o.l. as the saying goes. However, natural gas and liquid propane outdoor burning systems are a much safer alternative and allowed by most city ordinances. (***PLEASE CONSULT YOUR LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT FIRE REGULATIONS***)

Gas fire pits can be controlled with the flip of a switch or the turn of a key and they do not spew harmful smoke, ash and embers into the air. You can control the flame and they do not pose a threat to the landscape as the fire pit is contained within the burning system.

Although it may be too hot out currently to enjoy a fire pit at lower elevations, higher elevations still cool down considerably at night and can be utilized at resorts and private residences.

So please consider changing from a wood burning fire pit to a gas burning system not only for safetys sake, but for the environment.
